Hungarian president to pay state visit to Laos
VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) - President of the Republic of Hungary, Mr János Áder, along with his delegation will pay a state visit to Laos from October 24-27.
President Ader is visiting Laos at the invitation of President Bounnhang Vorachit, according to an announcement from Laos’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Mr Ader was born on May 9, 1959, in Csorna, Hungary.
He studied law at the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences at Eötvös Lo-ránd University in Budapest in 1978.
From 1986 to 1990, he was a research fellow at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences’ Sociological Research Institute.
Mr Ader has been the President of Hungary since 2012. He previously served as Speaker of the National Assembly from 1998 to 2002 and was Deputy Chairman of the European Parliament Committee on the Envi-ronment, Public Health and Food Safety in 2012.
From 1997 to 1998 he was Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly and served as the leader of Fidesz’s national campaigns during the 1990 and 1994 parliamentary elections.
In 1980 he joined the Fidesz and served as the party’s legal expert.
