Fujian based Huaqiao University offers more than 100 scholarships to recruit Malaysian students

KUALA LUMPUR (Sin Chew Daily/ANN) - The Huaqiao University in Fujian Province, China is offering more than 100 set of scholarships for Malaysian students who meet the criteria for scholarships to study in the university for its 2020 intake. 

Huaqiao University in Fujian Province is offering more than 100 scholarships for Malaysian students for 2020 intake.
Malaysian students with Unified Examination Certificates, STPM, A level and other equivalent qualifications are eligible to apply to the university.
The university also welcome SPM holders to apply for half year or one-year foundation course. Students who complete foundation course can apply to university based on the results. Scholarships are also available for those with outstanding academic results.
Below is the list of scholarships offered for Malaysian students:
1. Scholarship by the Government of China - Full waiver of tuition fees and accommodation. The 60,000 yuan (US$8,603.26) scholarship for one year also covers living expenses.
2. Tan Kah Kee scholarship – 50,000 yuan (US$7,169.80) per year for students who study in Xiamen campus only, (Total sum is between 200,000 yuan(US$28,679.18) and 250,000 yuan(US$35,848.97)
3. Outstanding Freshman Scholarship for international students – sum is between 20,000 yuan (US$2,867.75) and 80,000 yuan (US$11,471.02)
4. One Belt One Road overseas Chinese student study aid between 10,000 yuan (US$1,433.88) and 40,000 yuan (US$5,731.51)
5. Scholarship for teachers in Chinese schools – full waiver of tuition fees for four years, applicant to sign work contract prior to commencement of study
6. Outstanding scholarship for overseas students – full waiver and half waiver of tuitions for four years (no limit on number of applicant)
7. Scholarship recommended by Chinese Independent high school principals – full waiver of tuition fees for four years
8. Scholarship recommended by overseas Chinese organisations – full waiver of tuition fees for four years (Recommendation from Klang Hokkien Association, Johor Bahru Hokkien Association, Federation of Hokkien Business Associations in Malaysia, Malaysia-China Business Council)
