Moon to hold third summit with Trump, attend Asean, Apec meetings in November

SEOUL (The Korea Herald/ANN) - President Moon is to meet with Trump and then go to Southeast Asia for global meetings.

President Moon Jae-in will hold another summit meeting with US President Donald Trump in Seoul, and embark on an eight-day trip of three Southeast Asian nations in early November.

According to Cheong Wa Dea, Moon and Trump will hold their third summit meeting in Seoul during the US president’s tour of South Korea, China and Japan. The exact date of the meeting has not yet been released. Major items on the agenda are expected to include the Korea-US Free Trade Agreement, and the ongoing North Korean nuclear issue.

Following the Seoul-Washington summit, Moon will set off to Jakarta on Nov. 8 on a three-day schedule. The two sides are said to be working on arranging a summit meeting between Moon and President Joko Widodo of Indonesia.

On Nov. 10, Moon will head to Da Nang, Vietnam to attend the meeting of leaders of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation nations.

Moon will follow up his two-day stay in Vietnam with a trip to Manila, where he will attend the East Asia Summit, and the summit of Association of Southeast Asian Nations plus Three nations on Nov. 13 and 14.
