Largest trade exhibition to kick off next week in Laos

VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) - The largest professional trade exhibition of the country, Lao Top 3 Expo 2019, will kick off at the National Convention Centre in Vientiane next week and showcase products aimed at the building, construction, water supply, food and beverage and trade industries.

The three-in-one exhibition, to be held during June 20-22, will bring together LAOBUILD 2019, Laos’ international building and construction and M&E exhibition, LAOFOOD 2019, the Laos’ international food and drinks show, and LAOWATER 2019, the international water and waste water technology show.

The expo will also include the power and electrical engineering show, LAOENERGY 2019, and the international ventilation, air conditioning and refrigerator show, LIVAR.

“We bring all retail expos together at the same event because all of them are related to construction. So visitors can make decisions and discuss about their business with interested sectors in the same place,” said the President of the Association of Laos Architects and Civil Engineering (ALACE), Mr Phonexay Sisouphong.

Lao Top 3 Expo 2019 is being co-organised by the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, ALACE and AMB Tarsus Events Group.

“This year, more than 200 companies and brands from Laos and 15 countries, including China, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Thailand and the US, will join the expo and display their products, technologies and services,” the Regional Vice President of AMB Tarsus, Mr Richard Yew, told a news conference at Chanthapanya Hotel yesterday.

“Last year, over 4,000 companies’ representatives and the public visited our expo, creating business matching between Lao and international firms,” he added.

This year’s event is expected to be the perfect platform for attracting more than 5,000 trade and professional visitors to explore business opportunities and view the latest products and innovations for their industries, including building materials, construction equipment, water production and treatment solutions, hotel and restaurant supplies, and food and beverage products.

The expo will open with pomp, including a ceremony for the Lao Construction & Property Awards 2019.

ALACE will hold its annual two-day congress at the LAOBUILD 2019 Expo, which will be attended by more than 350 architects and engineers from across Laos.

Visitors will be able to attend many free technology seminars being held in conjunction with the expo, including events related to water piping, plumbing installation, and waste water treatment. The expo will be open to registered visitors from 10 am to 5 pm and it will open to the public on June 22.
