The Ryuzu no Taki falls are surrounded by Mongolian oak, maple, azalea and other trees whose leaves have turned yellow and red in the Oku-Nikko area of Tochigi Prefecture. The location is known for being one of the first spots in the area to see autumn colors. The leaves lower down along the Irohazaka winding slope — which connects Lake Chuzenji to the urban district of Nikko, Tochigi Prefecture — are expected to change soon.
