Growing Brunei-Thailand ties lauded

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/ANN) - The Royal Thai Embassy in Brunei Darussalam hosted a dinner reception yesterday in conjunction with the Kingdom of Thailand’s National Day celebration, the birth anniversary of His Majesty the late King Bhumidol Adulyadej and Thailand’s Father’s Day  at The Empire Hotel & Country Club.

The guest of honour was Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, and his spouse, who were welcomed by the Chargè d’Affaires at the Royal Thai Embassy in Brunei Darussalam, Rooge Thammongkol.

The event began with the national anthems of Brunei Darussalam and Thailand, followed by a welcoming speech by Rooge Thammongkol, who lauded the growing Brunei-Thailand bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields including agriculture, education, Halal food, tourism and culture, and education. A token of appreciation was presented to the guest of honour.

The reception was also attended by members of the Diplomatic Corps in Brunei, senior government officers and invited guests.
