A local tourist guide said he usually brings tourists to the handicraft booth at the market for them to buy the locally-made products, adding that the tourists like the unique items offered there.
He added the business has a very good potential to attract tourists who like to purchase local souvenirs to take them home.
"So, if one is looking for souvenirs, go to the handicraft section at the Kianggeh Market in the capital and check out the unique designs of locally-made items such as traditional musical instruments and baskets with straps," he said.
The Kianggeh Market is also popular on Friday and Sunday mornings among locals looking for fresh vegetables and other items, where hawkers and vendors have put up a wide collection of items for sale including antiques and food.
