Brunei’s military leader attends Asean meeting in Thailand

PATTAYA, Thailand (Borneo Bulletin/ANN) - Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Major General Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud attended the 16th Asean Chief of Defence Forces Meeting (ACDFM) at Royal Cliff Hotels Group, Pattaya, Thailand on March 6-8.

During the meeting, the Commander of the RBAF delivered a presentation on the topic ‘Assessing Sustainability and Way Forward’ which tied together with the theme of the ACDFM this year, ‘Sustainable Security’.

The meeting concluded with the signing of a Joint Statement by the ASEAN Chief of Defence Forces and an official farewell luncheon. The next ACDFM will be held in Vietnam in 2020.

The Commander of the RBAF also held bilateral calls with his ASEAN counterparts to discuss bilateral military cooperation between the RBAF and the respective armed forces.
