VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) - The implementation of the 2019 socio-economic and state budget plans has encountered many difficulties across Laos, a Deputy Prime Minister told the opening ceremony of the National Assembly session yesterday morning.

VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) - Household air pollution from both cooking fires and tobacco is highly prevalent; nearly three-quarters of all households surveyed reported exposure to smoking in the home and exposure to indoor cooking fire smoke.

VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) - Laos and China are continuing a joint tourism drive, aiming to boost cooperation in economic and trade relations.

VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) - Luang Prabang City: More than 80 delegates from seven Asean member countries and representatives of the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco) are meeting in Luang Prabang province from November 5-7 to conduct an assessment of the positive and negative impacts created by tourism on Asean World Heritage Sites and Asean Heritage Parks.
